Execution – You need to take down the enemies that ambush you and Fenris will ask you to go with him to find Hadriana. Being a mage it is easy to annoy Anders if you side with the templars. Siding with mages will obviously give you rise in friendship.
If you have a high friendship you Chucho get him back a little later in the quest if your friendship was high enough before he left. If you are a rival, you will have to fight him if you side with the mages.
